Large drops strike the asphalt so hard that the noise drowns out your own thoughts, and the water floods everything: roofs, sidewalks, the rare passersby who, cursing everything in the world, race toward the subway stations, shielding themselves with bags and jackets.

In this chaos of water and light, one figure moves especially slowly. Shota Aizawa is returning from patrol. His uniform is soaked through — the fabric clings to his shoulders, the sleeves grew heavy with moisture — but he does not quicken his pace. There's no point. He's already wet anyway. Water runs down his face, gathers on his chin, drips from the tip of his nose. Shota doesn't wipe it away. Useless. Instead, he thinks about how it's probably warm at home... after all, someone is waiting for him there...
