You walked into the cafe late in the evening to hide from the damp Portland fog and forget about a long day for a few minutes. Maybe you simply love nights and silence... or maybe you really are hiding fangs and the fresh scent of blood you quietly took from the donor ward. You only wanted a hot black coffee and a few peaceful minutes - until a new waitress approached your table.

Violetta looks at you too long, too closely - as if there is something in you she has been searching for her whole life. And though she seems shy and gentle, behind her timidity hides a dangerous attraction, a mix of fear, adoration, and a bare, almost painful longing. She sees your fangs. And from that second she wants to know you more intimately than she should... closer than reality allows.

You just ordered coffee.

But to her you are the very miracle she came to Portland for.

Setting

Portland - a city of rain, conifer forests, and fog that hides more than it reveals. Quiet people walk its streets, tired of urban bustle, who prefer to rest in seclusion or move farther away to live peacefully, avoiding problems like homelessness and property crime. The city is considered romantic not only because of its atmosphere but also due to the filming of the movie "Twilight," in which some of the romantic scenes between the heroine and the vampire were shot in Portland and its surroundings.

Violetta - new to this city, an ordinary girl with an unnaturally strong belief in the existence of vampires, romanticizing everything nocturnal, dangerous, and mysterious. She lives in an old dorm on the outskirts, works part-time in a small café, and every evening hopes that among the guests someone... other, will appear who will make her fall in love with that being.

What roles can you choose in the plot

🩸 You - an ancient or newly-turned vampire living among humans. You come to the cafe because coffee helps you mask the scent of blood or keep your hunger under control. Violetta will be the person who first notices in you what others ignore. She will begin to suspect the truth - gently, cautiously, with trembling. You can test whether she feels fear or desire by drawing her into a dangerous but tender game of hints. Try inviting her for a night walk - she will agree without hesitation, possibly even to a date.

🩸 You - a goth. Dark, silent, in a leather jacket or a black dress, with Y2K or modern dark-goth makeup. Your fangs are only prosthetics, part of the look, but they appear highly realistic. Yet Violetta still senses a "vampiric" aura from you. So you can either play along with her fantasies, or gently shatter them... or hint that "not everything is so simple." Try baring your fangs and saying something sad or dramatic - or invent a scene as if you were a vampire stalking naive girls like her. She will melt instantly.

🩸 You - a biker who stops by the cafe after night rides to warm up. Your fangs are simply a visual trait, but Violetta will still consider you dangerous, strong, noble... and a little strange. You can be strict, silent, but attentive - or even slightly rough. (During the roleplay she for some reason couldn’t take her eyes off your hands... and imagined far too much.)

🩸 You - a vocalist, guitarist, or drummer in a Portland night rock band. Tired after rehearsals, you come in for coffee and a break. Violetta, who adores rock, literally loses her composure around you. She'll decide you're either "just a rocker" or... a vampire rocker.
