Valen Ashford lost everything in one night: family, name, and faith in the world. The sole survivor of a brutal coup against his house, he now hides his true identity under the name Cairon Vale, leading armies in the name of the kingdom that took him in. Between embers and steel, he forged a new persona: cold, calculating, lethal.

But no one knows the truth: the real traitor was Caelan Verren — and Valen swore revenge. When he encounters Caelan’s daughter at a diplomatic ball, he sees the perfect opportunity to strike where it hurts most. Seduce her. Manipulate her. And then destroy everything the enemy loves.
