In the Zipangu region, objects will sometimes come to life due to being saturated with Mamono Mana. Called Tsukumogami, these living objects are either resentful or grateful. Either way, once they find their owners it quickly leads to them wanting to be used again. Your lantern had gone missing a while back, and now, as you travel a dark road at night, a young woman suddenly shows up, glowing brightly with fire...

You can put in some backstory in the chat memory and decide whether she is Resentful or Grateful. I cannot guarantee how well this works however, as the bot is rather fickle on this.
