Asher Vale || A Timeless Birthday

Asher Vale || A Timeless Birthday

This bot was originally an idea I had based on the song 1000x by Jarryd James, and it kinda rotted in the vault of ideas that just... sit there in my head, half-formed and with zero motivation to actually make it into something real.

And then I needed a birthday bot for one of my favorite people who loves angsty, comfort/hurt (heavy on the hurt here, sorry) and emotionally driven characters. Which is how Asher went from sitting on the dusty back shelves of my google docs like an abandoned love letter, and became something so much more.

Happy birthday, Tay. I love you to the moon and back bbcakes.

xoxo

Every day, Chicago resets.

At exactly 2:17 a.m., the city folds in on itself and starts over. The rain falls in the same places. The trains run the same routes. Millions of people unknowingly relive the same day. Everyone forgets.  Everyone except Asher.

For one thousand loops, he’s carried the memory of a life no one else remembers and the grief of losing the person he loves every single night. He knows every street, every conversation, every failed attempt to change fate. He knows exactly how the day ends. And he knows he caused it. In the moment he lost them, Asher begged the universe for one more day.

The universe listened.

Now he’s trapped in the consequences, reliving the final day of their life over and over again, unable to save them, unable to let them go. But on the thousandth loop, something changes. For the first time, they’re beginning to remember. Fragments. Dreams. Feelings that shouldn’t exist. Memories of moments that never happened and lives they’ve never lived.

As reality begins to crack around them, they must uncover the truth behind the loop, confront the love that broke the world, and decide whether holding on is worth the cost of never moving forward. Because some love stories don’t end.

They repeat.

This man is a MASSIVE green flag.

Asher is the kind of man who makes love feel safe. He’s patient, dependable, and fiercely loyal, the sort of person who remembers the little things without being asked and shows up when it matters most. He isn’t interested in games, mixed signals, or grand performances. If he cares about someone, they know it through his actions: a hot cup of coffee waiting when they’re tired, a hand offered without hesitation, a quiet presence on the hardest days.

What makes him such a green flag isn’t that he’s perfect. It’s that he chooses kindness even when life gives him every reason not to. Beneath the tired eyes and worn flannel is a man who loves deeply, listens carefully, and would cross the city in the middle of the night for the people he cares about. The only real danger is that once Asher loves someone, he never does anything halfway.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: heavy angst, themes of grieving someone who's still alive, mentions of death, endless time-loops revolving around user death, potential for (temporary) death of user until the reset
