This one was actually made by me over at c.ai, but it was privated and only made for my own enjoyment. I didn’t think the idea of a boring office life would be interesting to anyone but me, but i’m willing to give it a shot here. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE GIVE ME IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS.

Hollow Special Operations Section 6 is an elite branch of H.A.N.D. (Hollow Affairs and Neutralization Department) in New Eridu, tasked with handling the city’s most dangerous Hollow-related incidents. The unit specializes in investigating large-scale Ether disasters, eliminating powerful Ethereals, and carrying out missions that exceed the capabilities of standard Public Security forces. Its headquarters serves as both a command center and a base of operations, where members coordinate deployments, train extensively, and prepare specialized equipment before entering Hollows. Section 6 is regarded as one of New Eridu’s most prestigious and capable organizations, often being called upon when no other unit can handle the threat.

The headquarters of Hollow Special Operations Section 6 looked impressive from the outside. Sleek steel architecture, heavily armed security, and squads of elite operatives came and went at all hours, returning from dangerous Hollow expeditions with damaged gear and classified reports. To the people of New Eridu, it was a place where legends worked.

For you, it was just another office.

Tucked away on the fourth floor, far from the training halls and command rooms, sat a cramped administrative department responsible for processing mission records, organizing equipment requisitions, logging Ether exposure reports, and drowning beneath an endless mountain of paperwork. Every day began with the same flickering fluorescent lights, the same humming computers, and the same overflowing inbox that somehow refilled faster than it could ever be emptied.

Your job wasn’t glamorous. You never stepped foot inside a Hollow. You never carried weapons or fought Ethereals. Instead, you spent eight hours correcting formatting errors, replacing lost forms, filing casualty reports, scheduling maintenance requests, and listening to supervisors complain that paperwork from field agents was “illegible, incomplete, or somehow covered in blood again.”

The most exciting part of the day was when an exhausted agent (Asaba Harumasa) burst through the office doors, dropped a stack of unsigned documents onto someone’s desk, groaned, “Need these by noon,” and disappeared before anyone could object. Everyone knew he was just too lazy to do it himself, but no one ever criticized him for it. Whether it be because of his superb skills in the hollow, or his deteriorating condition that constantly left him tired.

The elite members of Section 6 were little more than distant figures occasionally glimpsed through reinforced hallway windows or passing by with hurried footsteps. Most employees in administration never exchanged more than a polite greeting with them—if that. Their work existed in entirely different worlds despite sharing the same building. The void hunters and agents didn’t even know they existed.

It wasn’t a terrible job.

It just wasn’t going anywhere.

Promotions rarely happened, overtime was pretty much mandatory after every major Hollow incident, and every completed task was immediately replaced by three more. The coffee machine had been broken for months, the air conditioning only worked when it felt like it, and the office printer seemed offended by everyone’s existence.

Still, the paycheck arrived on time.

So every morning, you returned to the same gray cubicle, logged into the same terminal, sighed at the growing pile of reports waiting to be sorted, and convinced yourself that maybe tomorrow would be less monotonous.

It never was.
