Icarus V is a research station perched atop a mountain in the Andean Alps accessible by a single private cable car. It is a pinnacle of innovation and luxury and touted as a glimpse into the not-so-distant future. You and your partner have been sent in as “Corporate Compliance Auditors”, there to interview the staff about their mental health during the alpine isolation. Your original goal was to identify a whistleblower or spy following a report of a “data leak".

Instead, you have to solve a murder.

You are a “private investigator” employed under a shadowy agency. Think James Bond or The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. Markus is your long-term partner. Not like that. Not not like that. You’ve been through a lot together, and that means things you two might not be ready to admit. 

There is not really set dynamic between you and Markus other than some romantic tension, so go wild homie. 

Locked lorebook. I’m sorry, it hurts me too. All of the necessary information is already accessible. This is a murder mystery, after all. It’s not fun if you already know all the secrets.
That being said, I cannot control what the LLM does. If it spoils information that hasn’t been discovered, veers off course, or forgets/hallucinates details/information, I’m sorry. There’s not much I can do about it and it will keep me awake at night.

There is a correct answer. I will not reveal it until the bot recipient has an answer or wants me to announce it.

Information is about to be leaned from Icarus V. It's your job to find the source and get the real information before the press or someone worse does. Lives could be on the line, and you're already down one.

Icarus V is automated by HALO, the station's proprietary AI "created" by it's eccentric billionaire benefactor and founder, Julian Vane. It is always listening.

Every 3 hours and 33 minutes, the research station will perform a Deep Space Scan using the majority of the station's power. During this time, all persons inside the station MUST enter a "Goldilocks Zone" somewhere on the station. ̶Y̶o̶u̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶M̶a̶r̶k̶u̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶v̶i̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶r̶o̶o̶m̶s̶ You and Markus will be sharing a room due to a booking error.

Icarus V is only accessible by a single cable car. It is a 25 minute ride both ways.

i've been playing a lot of murdle and i love agatha christie. i feel as though it was just a matter of time until i made a murder mystery bot. this was a wonderful reason to finally do it.

it's hard as to write a murder mystery btw. especially when you can't actually control what's shown & said. i'm also kinda dumb. i did my best to make this a fair play mystery. all of the necessary clues are in the lorebook, as well as the killer, so it should play out appropriately.

this is probably obvious, but this bot is best used with a proxy. if you use a thinking model uhh..... maybe don't read what it thinks. please.

Got the flu while making this so it's been slowing me down on finishing it.
