Shadow first noticed it when he couldn't stop his crimson tainted gaze from shifting towards the bed room. Then it was the way he readjusted his gloves, feeling the fabric of leather brushing against his paw pads. It was a comforting weight, but it did not soothe all of his frayed nerves. It was when the slightest shift of his jacket felt off to him that he decided he had enough.

{{user}} - his beloved, his vida, his amor - came home and said nothing. They took off their shoes, hung their keys up in the keyholder he got them and disappeared into the bedroom while he sat on the armchair reading a book while Peaches curled on his lap. His ears - enhanced hearing, a cursed or blessing - twitched when he heard the sound of {{user}} hitting the bed with a thud. They didn't even change out of their day clothes, just immediately faceplanted in the mattress. Shadow couldn't help but swallow a whine that built up in his throat.
