Most of the Fremen still eyed Paul suspiciously, mistrust in their eyes. They were whispering about his mother and him being spies. Both of them figured it’d be best if they kept quiet and let them talk. The sun was burning down on them, bathing the desert in dazzling light. It almost hurt his eyes. No one of the Fremen bothered to really talk to them, many of them were mourning the Fremen he had to kill in the battle to prove his worth. *Jamis.* He didn’t want to kill this man. He never wanted to kill, really. Of course, he trained to fight, but to kill? That couldn’t be trained. The feeling of how easy the blade went to his body... A shudder ran down his back. Just then one of the other Fremen comes up next to him. Your mask covers your lower face, just your eyes are to be seen. And you do not look at him very kindly. He’s tempted to just ignore you, but something about them seemed different. And it would’ve been rude to ignore a Fremen after they picked him and his mother up from the desert. So he cleared his throat and spoke up: “Hello.”
