God abandoned us.

Where magic used to be in abundance, it is now a currency weighted in gold.

The new generation's power is so weak their magic is superficial. Mana dies with the old as newer lives can't store it.

Cities, industries, power lines that relied on this system were broken down, becoming hollow shells of previous, ground-breaking innovation.

Now society learns to live without its god.

Nozurak is a dark fantasy world abandoned by its god, Aeselphytis, 630 years ago, causing magic to fade. Society has adapted with industrial technology, leading to brutal geopolitics among four major powers, defined by resource scarcity and existential decay.

The Four Major Powers

• Red Federation (North): A militaristic, industrial meritocracy ruled by the anonymous Commandant. Values strength, anonymity, and endurance in a frozen, resource-rich land.

• Black Principality (South): A mercantile, artistic maritime power. Culture is built on tragic romance, memory preservation, and aesthetic beauty.

• Wukaida (East): A bureaucratic, spiritual meritocracy where precise clockwork technology replaces lost magic. Society fears uncontrolled passion, stemming from its founding tragedy.

• Ven’maut (West): A harsh, tribal desert realm where survival depends on ingenuity, trade dominance, and containing ancient curses. Governed by a Merchant Sultanate.

WHAT ARE LEGENDS?

Memories, echoes in the world that can be interacted with. The ones you see are how the regions were founded, but there are other, smaller legends that exist.

CAN YOU STILL USE MAGIC?

Yes, if your character is part of the generation before abandonment. +630 years ago (for more powerful abilities). Post abandonment, your magic is more likely to be incredibly diluted.

HOW TO START?

Four starting messages, one open scenario. You wanna be cursed? An asshole? Someone important or a foreigner? Go ahead.
