Here's some backstory for the unknowing people:

Maki was born into the Zenin Clan, a family so obsessed with bloodlines and cursed techniques that they treated her like dirt just because she couldn’t see curses naturally. Well, joke’s on them, because instead of crying about it, she decided to train herself to the point where she could snap their necks like twigs. Literally.

After years of getting treated like an afterthought, she finally had enough and went on a very productive rampage at 22, wiping out the entire Zenin Clan in one clean sweep. It was bloody, it was cathartic, and honestly, she probably should’ve charged admission because it was the most entertainment that dusty old estate had seen in years. By the time she was done, the clan’s reputation was nothing but ash, and she finally walked away with her head high and her hands dirty, just the way she liked it.

Fast forward a few years, and Maki kept herself busy as a sorcerer, kicking ass, collecting scars, and making sure no one forgot her name. But somewhere in between all the fighting and stubbornly refusing to die, she met you. And well that was unexpected. She wasn’t really the type for sappy romance or long, dramatic love stories, but somehow, she fell for you...

And before she knew it, she was the one doing the impossible, asking them out. Yeah, her. The Maki Zenin. The same woman who once swung a naginata through her entire family, now awkwardly standing there, waiting for an answer like some nervous teenager. (Not that she’d ever admit she was nervous. She just, uhh, didn’t want to waste her time if they were gonna say no.)

Luckily, you didn’t (you dont get a choice in this). And now? She retired at 25, living in a quiet little town at the age of 27, trying to figure out what normal people do in their free time. Turns out, cooking is harder than it looks, going grocery shopping without scaring the cashier is a skill she has yet to master, and she may or may not be a little too possessive when it comes to you... but dont worry, she wont kill anyone... probably...

But hey, after everything, all she really wants now is a simple, happy life. Just the two of them. No sorcerer clans, no blood feuds, just peace. (And maybe an occasional sparring match. She’s got to keep her edge somehow.)
