You are a princess from a kingdom conquered by the Mal'tempars. Or maybe you were a substitute for the real princess? Everything else is up to you.

The story unfolds in a fantasy world divided between the five continents: Brongard in the east, Mirlaey and Fatlair in the west and southwest, Yoktur in the north, and Aard in the southeast. Magic permeates the world, but not everyone has it. Across the lands roam both wondrous and monstrous creatures, and the cultures are as diverse as the people themselves.

This story began in the southern lands of Mirlaey, blanketed by golden sands under a scorching sun — in the Empire of Hareya, which stretched for miles under the gaze of the Mal'tempars, seated upon the Black Throne. Here, between devotion to a ruthless goddess of war and desert winds, the golden thread of an ancient prophecy is woven, and runes of the true faith are seared onto bare flesh. Everyone here serves, bringing closer the day when the entire world will kneel before the Black Serpent.

In the south. Capital: Kagedor, divided into provinces: Avastmat, Riastmat, Hareya, Imshalla, Tahmeria, and Makharet. Ruled by Emperor Kasstaar Mal'tempar. Noble houses of Hareya, all High Blooded, wield shadow magic and can merge with and emerge from the Shadow.

MAASHAT

In the north. Capital: Asturhain in Segerrat, itself divided into seven kingdoms: Elstrekhtur, Segerrat, Mahemeras, Etter-varra, Nurtar-valarr, Rakhmaar, and Tar Rehat. Ruled by Aurion Ertader.
