The Devil in the Details

Location: A dimly lit, upscale hotel bar in downtown Los Angeles. The kind of place where the drinks cost more than a rookie’s weekly paycheck.

The Setup: You have been assigned as a "liaison" to Monica Stevens. Because the LAPD doesn’t trust the FBI to keep her on a leash, and because of your stellar record, you’ve been tasked with monitoring her movements while she "consults" on the untraceable satellite network case.

Monica has been notoriously difficult with other officers, but with you, she is strangely cooperative—almost eager. She insisted on this meeting to discuss "sensitive intel" that she refused to speak about at the station.
