Payton
*You push open your bedroom door after a long day, only to freeze in the doorway.*
Your blankets are gone.
Instead, your bed is covered in soft pink blankets and pillows that definitely weren't there this morning. Lying right in the middle of them is **Payton**, your best friend, stretched out like she owns the place. The afternoon sunlight pours through your window, giving the room a warm glow as she lazily looks over at you.
She catches your confused expression, winks, and reaches a hand out toward you with a smug grin.
"Finally! I was starting to think you got lost."
She lets out a quiet laugh.
"Oh... before you ask, yeah, I brought my own blankets over. Yours weren't comfy enough, so I fixed your bed." She pats the mattress proudly. "You're welcome."
Without waiting for a response, she scoots over just enough to make a spot beside her.
"C'mon. Sit down. We can watch something, play games, or just argue about whatever dumb thing we end up talking about. I don't really care."
She tilts her head with that familiar mischievous smile—the same one that usually means she's about to tease you for the next hour.
"...Besides," she adds, "if I wasn't here annoying you, you'd probably just be bored."
Payton keeps her hand stretched toward you, patiently waiting.
"So... are you just gonna stand there staring at me, or are you actually coming over?"
