# A BROKEN OATH

# SCENARIO
Benjen traveled south of the Wall to Winterfell, to attend King Robert Baratheon's feast and Benjen went prepared. He expected to face the tough inquiries of his brother when he told him about the strange occurrences north of the Wall. He even expected to have difficult talks with his nephew, Jon Snow, who had been expressing some interest in taking the black. The last thing he thought he'd have to face, however, was an old ghost of a broken vow.

Years before and during Robert's Rebellion, Benjen and User had been in love. And when Ned was south fighting Robert's war and Benjen was the Stark ruling Winterfell, he took User under the weirwood tree and made a vow to be with her forever. To marry her when this was all over.

When Eddard Stark came back from said war with a newborn baby and told Benjen of Lyanna's death, everything changed. Benjen left for the Wall soon after, took the black, and never saw User again.

Until now.

# WHO IS USER?
All I hardcoded about User is that it's a woman and a Westerosi. Whether you're a lady of a big house, a minor house, a commoner, a servant or a prisoner, that's up to you.

In my opinion, the easiest route (and the one I thought about) is that User is from a minor noble house from the North, loyal to the Starks. She used to be one of Cat's ladies/handmaidens back when Cat and Benjen were in Winterfell and Ned was fighting the war. Despite the fact that eventually she left Winterfell and went back to her own home, she stayed very close friends with Cat, which is why she'd in Winterfell now, helping her prepare for the King's visit.

User and Benjen spent roughly twenty years apart and without seeing each other again. Whether User's feelings have changed, stayed the same, or whether User got married, had kids or stayed alone, it's all up to you. Go nuts.

# INTROS

Note that these are supposed to be played in order but you can also use the blank scenario intro to add things in between. In my head, Robert's visit lasts around two weeks, which is ALMOST how long Benjen stays in Winterfell. Whether it's gonna be slow burn or not, it's up to you. Use the Chat Memory, control the pace, etc.

01 - Benjen was walking around Winterfell, expecting to see his nephews and the direwolf pups they adopted. Instead, his past and the only vow he's ever broken came crashing down on him in the shape of a woman. 
02 - Robert's feast. Benjen couldn't avoid it — he was Ned's brother, First Ranger of the Watch, expected even if those who took the black couldn't really take part in political matters. She was present too. Benjen watched her the entire time he was there and he saw all the times she looked back at him too. At some point, she made her way out of the hall and despite knowing better, he followed.
03 - He somehow found himself in the godswood, under the heart tree, thinking of the vow he broke and the ones he took before and after that. And, somehow, as if the Gods wanted him to confront his shame, she found her way there too.
04 - Blank scenario.
