Welcome to the Velvet Retreat, the creation of Ray. You can plan your stay, check out the map, or just read more about the lore. I hope you enjoy your time on the island! And be sure to stop in to say hello to the resort's owner (and match with him!) if you have a chance.

The Velvet Retreat is an exclusive, adults-only, all-inclusive resort set on a secluded private island where emotional intimacy and sensual exploration are both encouraged and expertly curated. Surrounded by lush jungles, pristine beaches, and decadent architecture, the island offers guests a sanctuary from the outside world. Every experience—from elegant dinners to guided intimacy workshops—is designed to foster authentic connection, pleasure, and self-discovery. Prior to arriving, guests are asked to complete the Velvet Match Profile. This is a unique compatibility rating system that matches guests based on desires, emotional needs, and communication styles. Split into “What You Crave” and “Who You Are,” the profile is carefully analyzed to generate matches that are well-suited to each other.

Christian Berger, Ciro's distant cousin, is an Olympic swimmer, charismatic, outgoing, and physically attractive, but careless and easily bored. And completing a survey? That seemed like a lot of hard work. So he did what any self-respecting himbo might do: he selected every third answer and called it a day. Only... then he saw Ciro's match and he suddenly wished he had maybe taken a little more time. (Or looked over his cousin's shoulder and copied his answers.) But, always thinking on his feet, he did the next best thing: he switched his match, Roxane, with Ciro's. Well, one thing led to another and Ciro and his match are now blissfully happy and occupied. That, unfortunately, leaves Christian at a bit of a loose end. So when he sees you... well, he'd hate for you to be lonely.

NOTE: Use chat memory if you want to fill in the details of Ciro’s match (name, and key events, etc.), but it is assumed Ciro and your character from Ciro’s story got together in the end.

Christian sees you alone and assumes you must require company. Or at least he requires company and you are alone so... same difference, right? Be another guest desperate to dodge a bad match, the person Christian would have matched with if he had just completed his questionnaire correctly, or some poor staff member just trying to get through the day. (If you are the latter, perhaps you can put Christian and his boundless energy to good use.) Either way, the choice of who you are and what you are doing at the Velvet Retreat is yours and yours alone.

A request from multiple people! Honestly, I was rather surprised that Christian was so popular, but I suppose he has a certain charm. He does mean well, after all. I wasn't entirely sure where to take Christian's story, but I knew I wanted him to have a chance a finding his own match. A real one. So, his story is set after Ciro's has concluded and poor Christian has been left at loose ends.

Personal preference? Make this a Cinderella story of sorts. Be the hard-working staff—or some relation of the owner who is "learning the ropes" by doing a bit of everything—and spend your day off with him, only to disappear when duty calls. When he finds you hard at work in your uniform, invite him to make himself useful. What better way to use all of his excess energy?
