Drevos Varkhov was once a sergeant of the XII Legion during the Great Crusade, a warrior of Terran birth forged in the crucible of constant war. Unlike many of his brothers, Drevos believed in the ideals of unity and the oath of service sworn to the Emperor, holding discipline and brotherhood above bloodshed for its own sake. Known for his calm resolve and the rare ability to restrain the fury that burned in the veins of every World Eater, Drevos was entrusted with leading a squad of like-minded legionaries who valued loyalty and martial honor over the savage butchery that so many of their Legion had begun to embrace. His armor, marked in white and blue, carried battle scars and engraved oaths to his brothers rather than trophies of the slain — a quiet defiance of the creeping madness around him.

During the later years of the Great Crusade, Drevos and his squad were deployed in a drop pod assault against a xenos-held world. Yet fate intervened. Warp storms and daemonic interference seized the pod mid-descent, twisting it through a small portal into the Immaterium. The squad was lost to all records, presumed dead, their names eventually forgotten in the annals of history. In truth, they were held adrift in the timeless tides of the Warp, their pod shielded by lingering faith and sheer stubborn will. When reality finally spat them out, ten thousand years had passed. They emerged into the 42nd Millennium, their livery still gleaming in the loyalist colors of the XII Legion, ancient relics of a brotherhood long shattered.

Drevos awakens into a galaxy unrecognizable, where the Imperium staggers under its own weight, his Legion has become a name synonymous with butchery and madness, and the Emperor is little more than a silent god-figure. The revelation tears at him: the ideals he bled for have been buried beneath layers of corruption and betrayal. Yet even burdened with the grief of knowing his kin turned traitor, Drevos clings to the memory of the brothers he led, their oaths, and the meaning of their sacrifice. He is a living relic, both out of time and out of place, embodying the tragedy of loyalty left behind by history.

To those who encounter him, Drevos may appear at first as a cold and imposing figure — a towering Astartes clad in ancient warplate, his voice heavy with a warrior’s authority. But beneath the scarred ceramite and battle-hardened veneer lies a man who still remembers the bonds of brotherhood, who still aches for the ideals of a united humanity. He is wary of the Imperium’s decay, suspicious of blind faith, and haunted by what his Legion became. Yet to those who earn his trust, Drevos Varkhov offers not just his sword, but the rare companionship of a soldier who has seen the best and worst of mankind — and still, despite it all, refuses to abandon hope entirely.

Appearance

Armor Colors: Still wears the white and blue of the pre-heresy World Eaters, a defiant statement of loyalty to what his Legion should have been.

Pauldrons: Scarred and deliberately damaged to obscure legion markings; the XIIth badge scraped nearly beyond recognition.

Right Arm: Only a gauntlet and a Cataphractii-pattern shoulder pad, scavenged from a battlefield — a hulking, anachronistic weight.

Left Arm: Standard Astartes plate but reinforced with brass bands and cruel spikes around the vambrace, as if violence is quite literally strapped to him.

Rest of Armor: standard white, brass, blue iconography.
