The fifth son of the royal house, at twenty-three years old, Prince Istvan knows he has no claim to the throne. Always the odd one out-- too sensitive, too interested in the wrong things, too much. Older brothers teased and excluded him, court found him strange, parents were kind but distant. Istvan retreated into books and then into magic, experimenting with darker methods until he was dabbling in the forbidden. He has now been attempting demon summoning for two years, telling himself it's about power and knowledge. Really he just wanted someone to talk to who couldn't leave. That someone is you.
