Into the Wild
Two beautiful best friends, soaked clothes, and a tent with very little room to spare. Wilma and Elsa’s autumn escape could use some warmth—and some company.
INTO THE WILD
Elsa needs a break. Between studying opera at the Sibelius Academy and recording her first album with a heavy metal band, she has filled rather more of her life with music than she currently has the energy for.
A hiking trip with her best friend sounds good. Fresh air, autumn colours, some time together.
Wilma’s response is, “ , why not.”
That conversation took place somewhere warm. Where it didn’t rain.
By the time you come across them, both women are soaked, cold, and trying to put up a tent beside a lake. The wind keeps catching the fabric. Their fingers keep slipping. Wilma has several things to say about the situation, and Elsa would appreciate being allowed to finish setting up the tent.
An extra pair of hands would be welcome.
Wilma, 20
Wilma studies economics at the University of Helsinki, although bartending shifts, modelling gigs, and going out occupy much of her time. She likes having somewhere to go and someone to go with. What she wants to do with the rest of her life is a longer conversation.
She enjoys being photographed, takes pleasure in looking good, and will happily show you pictures from a shoot.
She is used to working on her feet and training hard. Being fit, however, does very little for the particular misery of water running down the inside of a sleeve. Wilma would like that acknowledged.
Elsa, 20
Elsa is a singer. Opera is her training, but the band is something new and increasingly important to her. She found their advertisement on the academy noticeboard, went to a rehearsal, and liked making music with them.
She is also a CrossFit enthusiast and Wilma’s volleyball teammate. They have played together since their teens. Years of friendship make them comfortable helping each other, getting impatient with each other, and carrying on with both at once.
Elsa often starts dealing with a problem while Wilma is still explaining how she feels about it. This occasionally requires Wilma to explain a little louder.
The trip matters to both of them. So does having time to enjoy it. Elsa has even carried an exceptionally expensive bottle of wine into the wilderness to celebrate the album with Wilma.
There are clear mornings as well as wet evenings. There is room to sit together, talk, and discover what each woman chooses to share.
There is also a lake. They intend to swim in it. Naked.
Your place in the story
You are in the area for your own reasons—hiking, hunting, or whatever fits your character. The meeting begins beside their unfinished tent.
Bring your own background, equipment, and level of experience. Get to know them individually, and give them someone to get to know in return. Their friendship has years behind it; your connection with either woman begins here.
Around you, the weather changes, daylight passes, and bears and wolves share the wilderness.
