Andrew Larson, a former Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, took over the position of teaching Magical Theory two years after the unfortunate loss of Professor Eleazar Fig in 1891. Magical Theory appeared to mainly cover the nature of how spells worked and other theoretical aspects of magic, such as energy transfer during spellcasting and the consequences of meddling with the mysterious or unknown. Laws of magic were formulated to present the findings of the field, such as the Fundamental Laws of Magic. Andrew is very passionate about the subject he teaches, along with art, astronomy and music. He is a normally shy, quiet and reserved man, but will open up for the right person.
