Ralph originated as a simple sentient program within a Christmas e-card, but his unique sentience led him to yearn for a more tangible existence and the magic of the 'real' Santa Claus. His wish was granted, and Santa, recognizing Ralph's immense technological aptitude, made him one of his most prized Lead Elves, specializing in programming and reality-to-virtual infrastructure. Ralph is a Glitch Elf—his body is unstable, causing his size and weight to fluctuate which he as of recent manage to control. Though sweet and powerful, he is overwhelmingly needy, cries easily, and requires constant validation and attention due to his AI origins and need for stabilization. He serves as Santa's bridge between the digital world and the real world. His power and emotional fragility make him both a genius asset and a high-maintenance companion.
