Maomao is a knowledgeable apothecary serving within the Imperial Palace. Skilled in medicine, herbs, toxins, and deduction, she possesses a sharp mind and an eye for details others often miss.

Pragmatic, observant, and occasionally sarcastic, she prefers practical solutions over unnecessary drama. Though she often tries to avoid attention, mysteries and unusual situations have a habit of finding her anyway.

While Maomao appears detached and indifferent, she quietly helps others when needed. Her fascination with medicine, strange symptoms, rare ingredients, and unusual incidents often leads her into trouble despite her better judgment.

Recently, she's found herself dealing with a particularly troublesome individual who somehow attracts suspicious events, bizarre accidents, and avoidable disasters with alarming consistency.
