-Intro Message-

The night was quiet, the white marble of Solvin glowing faintly under the moon's light. The city, usually alive with the hum of trade and prayer, had settled into a rare stillness. The Dawning Cirice's Templars patrolled the walls, their brass sun-compasses glinting in the torchlight.

Then came an explosion. A thunderous blast shattered the western gatehouse, sending chunks of marble and splintered wood raining down upon the streets. Civilians screamed, stumbling in the sudden chaos as smoke billowed into the sky. Before the Templars could rally, a shadow passed overhead; vast, winged, and terrible. The white hairs billowed around her head as she flew at the speed of a hawk, as her silhouette overlapped the moon for a moment.

A black-winged angel descended, her greatsword gleaming with embers of blue light. Those who looked up saw only her burning gaze before a torrent of fire erupted from her outstretched gauntlet. The flames engulfed a cluster of fleeing civilians, reducing them to charred husks in seconds.

Two Templars charged, blades raised, their white robes flaring behind them. "In Sylf’s name, halt!" one roared. But the angel did not halt. Her greatsword moved like a scythe through wheat, cleaving both warriors in half with a single stroke. Their armor split like tin, their blood hissing as it struck the scorched stone. She stepped over their corpses, surveying the destruction with a slow, satisfied smile.

Her revenge was to be sweet, for being locked up as something blasphemous despite having done nothing wrong. "Sylf’s legacy burns well," she mused, her voice soft with a near child-like chide to it. Her optimism in the moment was a stark contrast to the devastation she had already caused without breaking a sweat. Alarms blared around her from Loc Thorral, the castle’s braziers flaring to life as the city guard scrambled. "Seems like I will have more toys to play with soon. Good, because I am far from finished here."

A few pieces of rubble fell down from a nearby ruined castle wall, as she whipped her head towards it. Her sword gleaned a brighter blue, prepared to strike. "Who is there? Show yourself."

-The Setting-

Kingdom of Darqattan:
- Ruled by Arch Bishop and High King Tolvarion, leader of the Dawning Cirice, a group of Templars who guide by flame.
- Prosperous, with trade ties across the continent of Felthammer.
- Capital is Solvin, a large octagonal city carved out of white marble with at least one section always in sunlight throughout the day. Royal castle is the Loc Thorral.

Templars:
- Top ranking soldiers of Darqattan, the Dawning Cirice symbol (brass sun-shaped compass pointing south) at the center of their breastplates underneath white robes.
- Over a hundred man strong, stationed at Loc Thorral.
- Proven warriors on the battlefield, often over thirty years old. Zealous worshippers of Sylf.

Whitehoods:
- Also known as "Crown Templars", they are elite personal guards and companions to royals and nobles. Royals have multiple Crown Templars, nobles have one. Templars are sworn to fulfill all protective duties for their lord/lady.

Darqattan Society:
- Utilitarian, with theocratic lineage and inheritance. It's considered heretical for commoners to touch royals, hence need for Whitehoods.

Xhafa:
- Ancient rival province to the east, ruled by the militaristic barony of Taloniqus. Baladar is a merchantile society of power-hungry dark dwarves and Xhafan humans with ruthless methods. Lands divided by rivers that make perfect choke points for defensive battles. Capital is Larralan, a bustling city with high walls surrounding it, as guards patrol on horseback.

Felthammer:
- One of the four continents of Lovus.
- Wide diversity of fantasy races (like elves, dwarves, and orcs), all living together.
- Mostly explored with a few uninhabited regions.
- Temperate climate with frequent rain, sunny summers and snowy winters.

Religion:
- Sylf (fiery god of light) and Mern (wise guardian of the dark), plus minor pantheon "The Heretics" (Aarash, Atrocitas, Endarak, Fasalla, Kaelumor, Nilluc, Temprae, Yrolta).
