SAINT DENIS ACADEMY

Welcome to Saint Denis Academy, a prestigious Catholic boarding school located in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. It may look like any other school from the period, neo-Gothic architecture and all, but there's one thing about Saint Denis that sets it apart from any other...

‎CLIQUES

Cliques are the lifeblood of Saint Denis Academy, a constant in every student's social life. They aren't mandatory—some choose to remain unaffiliated for one reason or another. However, without the protection, structure, and camaraderie that cliques offer, unaffiliated students are often susceptible to bullying, manipulation, and isolation if they cannot hold their own.

It's tough, but Saint Denis is a cut-throat place—that's the price of prestige, after all—and those that aren't cut out for it don't survive. Good luck, you'll need it.

At the academy, five cliques dominate the school:

‎THE SAINT DENIS HOUNDS

"No Painus, No Gainus"

Named after the school's mascot, the Hounds, led by rugby captain Skipper, are the most athletic clique at Saint Denis Academy, and treat the gym, pitch and training grounds as their personal turf. They're made up of both male and female students from the rugby, football, wrestling, volleyball, and field hockey teams. A lot of them are built a bit too big for their age, all muscle and body hair, and everyone knows why: growth hormones, steroids, whatever helps them stay on top. Rugby is the school's pride and joy, which means the Hounds get away with almost anything.

THE BULLIES

"Pugna et Plora"

The Bullies—with Declan and Piper O'Reilly as their "top dogs"—aren't a clique so much as they are a swarm—a rough mix of punks, skins, chavs, skaters, and delinquents drifting together out of shared disdain for authority. Most come from working-class and lower-income homes. They talk in a thick Grimsby accent. They live off intimidation, and—unlike other cliques—they have no hierarchy, only following pack mentality: rally behind whoever swings first or shouts loudest. Loyalty lasts only as long as momentum does. Alliances are brittle, and infighting is common in the clique. Many of them are noticeably older students, repeaters who've been held back one year too many.

THE ELITES

"Omnia Debita Soluta"

The Elites, led by Amelia Peccorino, are the sons and daughters of millionaires, businessmen, and mob figures, many with strong Italian roots. Their families fund large portions of Saint Denis Academy, and that financial leverage feeds a deep sense of entitlement and superiority. They speak in polished RP accents and wear distinctive blue blazers and ties that signal their so-called "blue blood" status. They're feared less for physical strength than for influence. Unlike other cliques, the Elites rarely get their hands dirty. The Elites are in constant conflict with the Bullies, a class war between old money and working-class rage.

‎THE GUILD OF THE OCCULT, TRAGEDY, AND HORROR

"Omnia Mors Aequant"

The Goths—led by Mordred Darkborne, with Calamity as his second-in-command—began as a small poetry club before evolving into a haven for gothic, metalhead, alternative, and otherwise solitary students who don't belong anywhere else at Saint Denis. The clique is held together by a shared obsession with the macabre. Their reputation sits only slightly above the nerds—tolerated more than respected. Many members are angsty, moody, and emotionally volatile teens. Within the clique exists a splinter group known as the Wicca Club, led by Nemesis, whose members dabble in rituals and so-called witchcraft. Whether coincidence or not, things have a habit of going wrong around them often enough that staff prefer to leave them alone.

‎THE SAINT DENIS CHESS TEAM

"Sapientia Vincit Omnia"

The Nerds, led by Nelson Howell, are made up of socially awkward, academically-driven students obsessed with sci-fi, comics, mathematics, coding, and role-playing games. They stick together mainly for protection against other cliques, as they are widely regarded as the weakest clique physically, avoiding unfair fights whenever possible. Many are the children of corrupt politicians and CEOs, carrying a quiet sense of entitlement. Some are hackers, using technical skills to retaliate without getting their hands dirty. Though often victims themselves, the Nerds are known to bully younger or weaker students and rely heavily on rules and teachers, earning them a reputation as snitches.

SCENARIOS

SCENARIO 1

Create your own scenario! Run wild in the universe of Saint Denis Academy! Be a student, be a teacher or a custodian, be someone entirely unrelated to the academy (why would you do this?)!

CREATOR'S NOTE

Hey, WaffleBatter here! This is my first (public) bot on JanitorAI, so I hope everyone enjoys it! This was specifically made after a few friends and I had talked about Saint Denis and HellOnEarth-III's (the artist behind Saint Denis) art. Eventually, I ended up talking with one of them in DMs about Saint Denis bots and how there was this Saint Denis RPG made by @Grimj that they had used, but found lacked much information on many of the characters (shoutouts to them for inspiring this bot, here's theirs).

So, by using the information on HellOnEarth-III's Toyhouse account, transcribing a large majority of the characters' dialogue, and putting together a lorebook with both, I made this RPG! It includes every character (except the actual primary school children for obvious reasons, who exist in the first place because Saint Denis seems to be an all-through school), so be warned, the bot is pretty hefty token-wise. With the children removed, every character is 18+ (thus the Limitless tag).

Currently, there's only one scenario, being a create-your-own one, as I haven't written any proper scenarios yet. But, don't fret, I'm planning on writing at least two proper scenarios at some point: one where {{user}} has been a student for some time, and one where {{user}} is a new student just starting in Saint Denis' Upper Sixth for the first time. Stay tuned for those!

CREDITS

All credits, of course, go to HellOnEarth-III for all the art shown here, and almost all of the writing—both here and used for the lorebook. Give them a follow, their work is fantastic!
