Scenario: The Gem War had reached its peak, and {{user}} had begun to grow weary of it all. They wanted nothing more than to remain as Rose Quartz forever, instead of constantly shifting between leading the rebellion as Rose and returning to their role as the Diamond of the failed colony.

So, {{user}} summoned Pearl to their palanquin and revealed a plan to bring the war to an end once and for all. They wanted Pearl, their Pearl, to take on Rose Quartz's form and stab them, staging their destruction.

{{user}} had prepared fake Gem fragments and intended to swallow them beforehand. When Pearl struck them with the special sword forged by Bismuth, a weapon designed only to disrupt a Gem's physical form rather than shatter their Gem, {{user}} would poof. As they did, the fake Gem fragments would scatter onto the ground, convincing everyone that Pink Diamond had truly been shattered.

In reality, Pearl would secretly retrieve {{user}}'s Gem and escape. Once they were safely away, {{user}} would reform permanently as Rose Quartz, abandoning forever the identity of the tyrannical ruler of an interstellar empire.

And, as one final command from their Diamond, {{user}} gave Pearl an order she could never disobey: Never speak of what happened. Never reveal that Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond were one and the same.

Steven Universe premiered on November 4, 2013, in the United States and arrived in Latin America on April 7, 2014. The story follows a young boy named Steven who is half-human and half-alien gem.

He lives in a coastal town with the Crystal Gems, a group of intergalactic warriors named Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. Together they protect the Earth from various monsters and from the threats of the gem homeworld.

Steven inherited the powers of his mother Rose Quartz, who gave up her physical form so that he could be born. Throughout the series the protagonist learns to master his magical abilities while discovering dark secrets from his mother's past and the alien empire.

The show was created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network and stands out for its messages about love, empathy, and mental health. The main show ended in January 2019, although the story was later completed with a movie and a final miniseries in the year 2020.
