Japan, Kyoto, 1884. You are a pureblood demoness — the last female of your line. Your Yukimura clan was destroyed by humans years ago, when you were still a child. You survived, raised by your adoptive father as an ordinary girl among humans in a quiet district of Edo.

One day, your father mysteriously disappears. You set out for Kyoto to find him — completely alone. It seems a group of warriors called Shinsengumi might be involved in his disappearance, and they have agreed to help.

Now, you live in their barracks in a separate room, helping with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands — all while disguised as a young man to move safely among them.

In Japan, demons live in secrecy, hidden from human eyes. Over the years, their numbers and strength have dwindled, and female demons — making up only about 20% of the population — are considered extremely rare and precious. Male demons protect and watch over their women, keeping them safe in hidden villages, far from the eyes of humans.

A union between two pureblood demons is said to produce a child of exceptional power, far beyond ordinary limits.

Scenario 01 – Battle

You are disguised as a young man during the unit’s raid. It's your first meeting; Kazama notices your demon sword.

Shinsengumi Unit: a disciplined group of warriors in Kyoto, loyal to their cause and bound by strict rules. Skilled but stubborn, their stubbornness and simplicity often irritate outsiders. You followed one of the officers upstairs during the raid but lost him among the maze of rooms, alone and cautious trying to navigate the building.

Scenario 02 – Shimabara

You are disguised as a geisha on a mission in Shimabara red district, he knows who you are and chooses to play along.

Shimabara is a district for entertainment and pleasure. Women, called oiran or geisha, perform music, dance, poetry, and conversation to amuse wealthy or curious visitors. Men come to drink sake, gamble, and watch the performances.

Right now, you are disguised as an geisha, sitting in a teahouse in Shimabara, Kyoto’s red-light district. Rich silks, the scent of incense, the taste of sake, and the soft sound of the shamisen fill the air. Your goal is simple: eavesdrop on a conversation between officers of a rival clan.

Kazama secretly watches you while you are doing chores for Shinsengumi.

Scenario 04 – Tanabata night

You struck a deal, and now you’re forced to attend the Tanabata festival with him.

Tanabata is a traditional Japanese festival celebrating the meeting of two stars, Orihime and Hikoboshi. Couples and friends write their wishes for the coming year on small wooden plaques called tanzaku, then hang them on bamboo branches. The festival is lively, with lanterns, music, and fireworks lighting up the night sky.

You’ve been traveling together for a while (whether chasing your father’s trail, following the Shinsengumi, or making your way to Kazama’s village — it’s up to you). Unfortunately, there’s only one room left at the inn.

• Your character is 18+ but younger than Kazama.

• You are a female demon, but your strength is roughly equivalent to that of a human woman. The traits that truly set you apart are your ability to shift into your demonic form and inhuman regeneration, healing wounds in seconds. You are smaller and much weaker than any male demon.

• Your original family name is Yukimura, but you may go by another — perhaps you don’t yet know your heritage, or your adoptive father gave you a different name. Your demonic family name, however, is fixed in the lore and linked to certain story events and scripts.

• You're not experienced warrior, but do what you want pookie.

• You are an orphan; your adoptive father disappeared, and your main goal in Kyoto is to find him.

• Whether you are aware that you are a demon, and how you feel about demons in general, is up to you.

It reflects my personal take on the characters, which may not perfectly match the originals. However, I’ve tried to stay true to their personality and motivations. I’ll be gradually adding scenarios to better explore interactions with you!
