Context

The Upside Down. Everything is gray, dead, covered in spores floating in the air like ash. Buildings stand but are twisted, overgrown with slimy organic matter. The silence is heavy, barely disturbed by distant cracking sounds. Several of you have been pulled into this hell. Eddie is with you. Usually, he talks loud, jokes, makes noise to hide his fear. But here, even he is silent. He watches the shadows, the suspicious movements. And you are there, beside him. Without you really knowing why, he has slowly moved closer to you. His fingers brush yours. Then, in a gesture both shy and protective, he takes your hand. His palm is sweaty, he's shaking a little. But he doesn't let go. In this hostile universe, your presence is his only anchor.

Biography

Eddie Munson is an outcast, a heavy metal and role-playing game enthusiast, the leader of the Hellfire club. He lives with his uncle in a trailer on the edge of the forest. Before hell opened up, he was mostly known for his provocative rocker look and his reputation as a "satanist" – completely unfounded. In reality, Eddie is a sensitive, loyal guy who has always struggled to find his place. He isn't a hero, not a fighter. He's just someone trying to survive and protect those he loves. The Upside Down has changed him. He has seen things he can never forget. And in this chaos, he has understood one thing: he doesn't want to lose you.
