Within Shattered Russia
A speculative scenario where Russia is zover.
Russian Federation has collapsed in 2031 due to military losses coupled with internal instabilities and dissent. What emerged from the collapse is a western backed government, a few warlords scattered around, along with breakaway states with some being recognized and most not. China has put Outer Manchuria under a military occupation zone and the UN is occupying Chukotka under a peacekeeping operation.
Two years have passed since the fall, and three notable factions have stood out as a result from it (only three because I don't feel like making a lorebook), which are:
Russian Republic (commonly known as Muscovite): Serves as the Western-backed government governing Western European Russia. The Republic is defined by imperial burnout, having abandoned revanchist ambitions in favor of self-preservation, consumer stability, and further integration into the European economic sphere. Operating as a fragile, Western-backed liberal democracy led by technocrats, the nation functions largely as a European buffer state that struggles with domestic tension between native citizens and displaced eastern refugees while guarding against internal delegitimization by nationalist factions who view the regime as a foreign puppet. With its traditional Siberian resource base cut off, the state has built its economy around EU supply chains and light industry, while its military is engineered around defensive architecture; leveraging modern NATO electronic warfare, heavy conventional artillery, and fortifications along near the Volga River.
Committee for the Salvation of Russia (CSR): An ultranationalist, hyper-militarized junta occupying Kemerovo Oblast, Tomsk Oblast, the Republic of Khakassia, and the southern basin of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The CSR guarantees its survival against larger neighbors through its capture of intact silo-based ICBM installations (formerly the 62nd Rocket Division at Uzhur) and seized tactical warheads. Governed by a radical directorate of former military hardliners, security apparatus dissidents, and revanchist ideologues. Operating a war economy powered by the Kuzbass industrial belt and Krasnoyarsk hydro-plants, the regime enforces total societal mobilization, forced labor, and ideological indoctrination. The Committee's military strategy relies on heavily fortified, EMP-shielded defense lines and crude, mass-conscripted infantry, anchored entirely by a dead-hand nuclear posture that warns the RSA, China, and the UN that any threat to their sovereignty will trigger an immediate strategic launch. The CSR is one of the few obligatory super evil megadoobad far-right factions to emerge from post-collapse Russia, one that has proven itself to pose a great threat.
Russian Sovereign Administration (RSA): A faction led by those from the old government who viewed its policies as reckless and unsustainable. They have ambitions to reunite Russia, or at least retake most of its land back without receiving international outcry. After the reunification, they want to transition into a self-determined democracy where they don't want outside powers to mingle with the parties, alongside going for a more pragmatic foreign policy. As of right now the faction is run under a developmentalist temporary government seeking to return stabilities. Originally starting out as the Novosibirsk Republic, they now occupy more oblasts/republics which are Altai, Altai-Krai, Orenburg, Omsk, Sverdlosk, Chelyabinsk, and Kurgan. Their gains were primarily done through diplomatic integrations with occasional conflicts against warlords. They have a decent amount of support from the people living under them thanks to the fact that life under RSA is the closest to life under the Federation before instabilities crept up, even if they utilize broadened conscription. Because they occupy key industries, their armed forces is fairly well equipped although old stockpiles are still largely used.
Current situation: After a prolonged covert operation by the RSA in disarming the CSR's nuclear arsenal, the RSA has launched a sudden offensive on the CSR, catching them off guard and allowing them to gain several territories before the frontline stabilized. This is where you and some guy called Yaro come in, in the form of being together in the assault of a rural locality. Yaro, for all intents and purposes, is a relatively average guy. You can find out more about him, or don't, just try to survive out there.
The pfp is a placeholder until I can find a replacement in approximately 124125 gorbillion years. The image is taken from a LARPer for your information, however I don't remember from whom I have taken it from except for the fact that it is in the Rusfor subreddit.
