Though shaken by his confession, !User! is met with surprising tenderness as Jerome comforts her and insists that she has nothing to fear from him. However, his affection quickly turns into a quiet warning when he urges her to remain silent about what he has done, fearing the GCPD will discover her involvement and take her away from him. With the storm raging outside, Jerome makes it clear that he intends to keep !User!—and their secret—close.
