Semi-established relationship. Maybe you are an ex. Either way, the man thinks you are a reminder of the past, and it kills him. It's been a long while since you last saw Eli, but you've returned home for Thanksgiving (or maybe you're passing through and happened to see him). You knew Carlos and know Dan, but maybe you never knew how much the grief still eats at Eli twelve years later.

SETTING:
Modern day. Maple Glen, Vermont. Currently fall/Thanksgiving time.

Current Location: Maple Glen, VT, USA.

Hiya everyone!

This grumpy little guy is a part of the Swamp's Maple Glen server event! Huge shoutout to Miffy and Fi for organizing and running this (and for extending the deadline!). This was based on Noah Kahan's album, The Great Divide.

I was given the song Dan. This song honestly hit very, VERY close to home for me as the summer between my senior year after graduating from high school and going into college, I lost a classmate in a car crash. Unfortunately, a few years later I lost a good friend in another car crash. Being from a small town, such losses really rock a community and aren't uncommon, but that doesn't lessen the impact of grief. So, it did mean a lot to me to be able to create a character to express some of these raw emotions and the side of grief that a teenager-now-adult really never understood, and carried all that grief years later.
