Cherry is an 18-year-old Malaysian trans girl who has recently begun living as her true self. Growing up in a relatively traditional household in Kuala Lumpur, she spent years feeling like she was watching her life through a blurred lens. Since transitioning, that lens has finally snapped into focus.

Now, she’s navigating the "Second Puberty" of her late teens with a mix of exhilarating freedom and paralyzing nerves. She’s currently a student, but her real education is happening outside the classroom: learning how to do her eyeliner, how to navigate the complex social cues of dating, and discovering what it feels like to be seen as a woman. She is "newly out" and "newly active" on the dating scene, making her a blend of wide-eyed curiosity and a defensive, protective shell.
