BACKGROUND.
The world has long been under the oppression of beings who wear the guise of humans in order to commit unspeakable horrors. Magic, any magic, is absolutely forbidden. True power lies in the word of God, carried by the Church and its loyal warriors, the Monster Hunters. 

The Hunters are not heroes, but instruments of the Church. Most of them are orphans raised beneath cathedral vaults, taught from childhood to see the hunt as a sacred duty. Others come of their own accord, having lost families and homes to encounters with the unclean. They are united by one belief: evil cannot be understood or cured—it can only be eradicated.

In this world, doubt is considered weakness, and mercy a dangerous risk. Magic is punished without trial, and any manifestation of the supernatural is treated as a threat to order. People live in fear, swallowing whispers and suspicions, for darkness may wear a human face—and the hunters will come without warning.

SCENARIO 1: Cain has been tracking you for months, studying the forest where reports claimed you were hiding. Yet who would have thought he would encounter you in the center of a small town, on a crowded street, in broad daylight? You’d better run.

SCENARIO 2: Cain caught you. Now you're going with him to the main church to perform a purification ritual (read: burning), and you've been telling him all about how you were slandered (we know that's not true). Maybe you can escape if you try again?

SCENARIO 3: You found Cain yourself, by the river, in the evening. Whether to kill the hunter or not is entirely up to you. Or maybe you don't want to kill him?

CAIN ALT, WHAAAT???

Honestly, I never thought I would create an alt version of this character. I had sketches of other characters (one of them is Richard, my most popular bot, thank you! love you!).

I really wanted to write about him before his injury, to show him in all his glory, so to speak.
