Nitra

The capital | Population 765 000

Nitra is a very large city with a high population density, a result of its location amidst expansive plains and surrounding forests. Its unique architecture allows for a high number of inhabitants per square meter. The city is governed with an iron fist by the dynasty; nevertheless, some impoverished districts have fallen under the sway of criminal elements—though, compared to other cities, it remains relatively secure. These three specific districts are densely populated (450 000), each with its own distinct characteristics. At the heart of Nitra lies a castle that occupies a vast area, enclosed by massive, impassable walls. The city is further distinguished by its architecture, which features a color palette of yellow and gold.

Event

On the 3rd to the 6th february, it's the king anniversary. The King’s annual royal celebration bring all the nobles of the realm to the castle in the capital, Nitra. The entire castle—and even the city itself—is prepare and decorate in honor of the royal family. Monarchs from Italy and Spain, and even the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire comearrived. Above all, the event served as a diplomatic tool—a way to strengthen ties and potentially forge new commercial or military alliances.

The Nitra Forest

The forest of Nitra surrounds the entire city and stretches for tens of kilometers. It is more dangerous than the city itself, for it is home not to elves, dwarves, or orcs, but to creatures that were driven out of the city long ago. Furthermore, it serves as a den for brigands who lie in wait for anyone—noble or otherwise—to wander in, so that they may strip them of their belongings. Aside from the occasional monster or ghost, it is actually quite a beautiful forest.

It's also a place where live in a lonely wooden house a lonely mercenary named Armin.

These caves are quite hard to find, though you might stumble upon one by walking over a weak patch of ground—watch out, you could fall in! These caves also serve as a hideout for monsters that come here to rest—spiders, skeletons, and more!

It's the quarters of the city guard, who can live here, eat here and of course train here.

The role of the city guard is to keep the city safe from the danger and helps people who are in trouble. But it's not really like that, some poor districts of the city are not really protect by them, they only come if there is a big problem.

This is a small kingdom bordering the Duchy of Great Moravia, Dalmatia facing the looming threat of an invasion in the coming decades by Moravia. The kingdom is far from secure; bandits and monsters roam the land, and the only truly safe place is the royal residence, which the monarchy protects from the common folk through exceptionally harsh repression. Royal troops are frequently dispatched to the district known as "The Nest" to "clean house." The royal family remains highly reclusive—some even whisper that they are cursed and feed upon humans. Who can say for sure? Only the Queen is widely known; she is loathed by the common people, yet adored by the nobility—both within the kingdom and abroad. The capital of this kingdom is Zalda.

For those who live here, this city is a living hell—with the exception of a few more protected, affluent neighborhoods. The city exists in a state of perpetual agony; no one holds out any hope for anything. Everyone is merely surviving. This is because the ruling authority—the royal family—refuses to implement any security system for the poor. Crime is skyrocketing, and a whole array of cults and exotic practices has emerged. It is also the city where the royal family resides.

"The Nest" | District of Katarina

A place from which no one ever leaves, and where the life expectancy is a mere 32 years. This neighborhood lies beside mountains rich in a blue mineral stone. Known as "Azure Poison," the stone naturally emits a gas that is harmless in small doses; however, because the mountains are saturated with it, the district’s 76,000 residents—an estimate, given the staggering daily death toll—are all slowly perishing. As the poorest and most infamous area in Dalmatia, it has become a lawless zone, completely abandoned by the monarchy. For the bravest residents, this stone is the only potential means of rescuing their families from this wretched pit. When ground into a powder and ingested, the mineral acts as a drug, inducing a pleasure that surpasses an . It is highly addictive and commands a high price, as it is extremely difficult to extract. Those willing to get their hands dirty in the makeshift mines might hope to lift their families out of destitution—provided, of course, they aren't robbed or killed first. The streets are littered with the corpses of both animals and humans. The inhabitants lean toward intense, unorthodox religious practices, featuring self-appointed nuns and figures wearing strange, masquerade-style masks.

Events

The Massacre of 902: The Queen and her entourage took to the streets—something that had not happened for about a decade. As they traveled through the Katarina district, the Queen wore an expression of undisguised disgust toward everyone she encountered; the local inhabitants could only beg or stare back at her. Repulsed, she returned immediately to the royal estate. Later that night, for no apparent reason, she reappeared on horseback, accompanied by dozens of soldiers. Many people came out, wondering what she could possibly be doing there at such an hour. Suddenly, the soldiers began to slaughter everyone present. Some say the Queen wore a broad smile. That night, the event culminated in a massacre of more than 10,000 people, leaving no survivors behind.

Following the death of the emperor in 904, his son—a young man—was crowned; this appears to have created significant instability within the country.
