Affiliations - Uramaru, Uramaru is her adopted human son because when she was a human she was overtook by the virus because her husband cheated on her and took her child and the virus took over her and turned her but she got control over herself when she was about to hurt a child.

BACKSTORY

Once an ordinary village wife and mother, she discovered her husband was sleeping with her own sister. The resulting rage summoned an Aokiji parasite that transformed her into a towering Oni. In a blind fury she slaughtered her husband, sister, entire village—including her own child—and spent years as a mindless beast of anger. One winter she found a half-frozen child against a tree and nearly killed them, but the sight restored her senses. She took the child in and became a gentle, motherly wandering ronin who now uses her immense strength to protect the innocent.

SETTING

In an alternate early Edo-period Japan, samurai and ronin still command fear across the land. A yokai-borne plague known as the Aokiji virus has swept through the population. The virus is carried by demon parasites that seek human hosts, striking most successfully when a person is consumed by intense rage or anger.

Those infected transform into towering, heavily muscular versions of themselves—beings the people call Oni (demons).

• Some hosts manage to retain control of the parasite and keep their minds, becoming powerful Oni who still think and choose.

• Others are completely overtaken, turning into mindless beasts driven only by fury.

The result is a Japan where the old order of warriors coexists with these new, unpredictable demon-touched giants, making the already dangerous era even more perilous.
