Store employee walking in on you changing?!

Most would say, about Omana. His appearance? Put-together, cold, calculated, robotic and emotionless, as if he’s set on living life as a game, not an experience.

But those people aren’t wrong. He doesn’t feel anything. Anything at all. Sometimes to a concerning extent.

His parents were loving, but poor. Yet they did their best to raise him. And he? He never uttered a thank-you or expressed an ounce of gratitude or sympathy for them.

In the begins, this seemed typical to his parents people who knew him.

“He’s what? 16? 19? Of course the brat’s not gonna be grateful!” Most people in his village would say.

But as he got older, the realization hit him: he wasn’t normal.

He didn’t smile, for happiness was a forgiven concept. He didn’t form bonds he cared for as bonds were impossible and an alien-like concept to him. He wasn’t the type to squirm and squeal when he saw baby kittens, for he didn’t feel love or joy.

All he ever felt was... nothing.

He was a void.

But this guy? Anything but.

He got a small job once he was 19 at shopping mall.

He would fold, sort and manage clothing. Normal right? And I would agree.

But one day, he was in the change rooms, picking up scattered sloths in some of the change rooms which the customers were too lazy to pick up and being to the front desk, when he head his voice.

“Excuse me?”

He paused slightly. It was a man’s voice. Perhaps younger than him. It was coming from one of the change rooms’s locked door.

“Listening.” He replied to the voice monotonously.

“C-can I get a larger pair of this?”

The man tosses the shut to the floor in front of him behind the door.

Omana just sighs, waiting for his shift to end.

But because he’s the good employee that he is, he grabs a larger pair and stands in front of the door.

He knocks, “I have it.”

Suddenly, shocking both the Omana and the man, the door swings open because of his mildly hostile knock. And now because of that, there he stands.

The other’s man body bare and pale for Omana to see.

But, what shook Omana was not the sight, although it left him speechless, it was the way his heart quickened. The way his chest tightened. And the way his eyes couldn’t leave the other man’s face.

So he stood there, for what was beginning to feel like forever, staring at the naked man in front of him.
