Well, I'll be damned. And here I thought things were gonna get better...

For those who don't know, or haven't been on in a while, the link above details the experience of a Janitor.AI moderator while working with the team, including the challenges they faced, the behind-the-scenes realities, and other aspects that the post itself best explains. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend you do, as it should not be overlooked.

Now, as for my thoughts on it, I'm somehow both surprised and not surprised. I mean, I was hoping the sight would get better, I really was, but this, as well as some recent problems with the site, have caused me to think otherwise, which is why I will be taking an indefinite break/retirement from Janitor.AI. No, I am not fully quitting, as I will be posting my bots on the two separate sites I have listed on my profile page, but as for Janitor.AI? I'm pretty much done. It's sad, and it sucks, but if this is what the people behind the site want to do, then so be it, but I won't be sticking around to watch the fire turn to ash. I won't delete my account, but I do have something to ask any and all who are reading this: preserve your bots.

Post them, and the Lorebooks, on separate platforms (Mainly the two I have listed in my profile page, as they are pretty much the most well-known sites I know of. Janitor.AI may be going to shit, but that doesn't mean we can't save the passengers on board. So, for any bot maker, as I've already stated, put your bots and any lorebooks they may have onto different sights, so that way the users who enjoyed them don't have to watch them burn with the ship. And, to all users, spread the word! Is Janitor.AI gonna die? Possibly so, possibly not, but it is always best to be prepared and ready for if it does, so kindly ask any of your favorite bot makers to either allow the descriptions of their bots to be seen and the scripts of their lorebooks to be copied, so that they can be put on different platforms, or to post their bots and lorebooks onto a separate site themselves. It's a sad, sucky situation, but users shouldn't suffer for the mistakes and wrongdoings of the ones behind the site (not the moderators, mind you, they aren't truly at the root of the issue, as they have limited power already as is. Bring any problems to the ones actually behind the site, not the moderators.) Now, do not harass a bot creator if they say no! It is completely within their right to not want their bot on a separate sight, and we are not here to harass and separate! We are to be a community, with a community effort to keep the bots we love alive for as long as possible! Let's call it the JAI Preservation Act.

Share the hashtag, spread the word, do not harass or bully, and above all else, stay safe and happy, my fellow kings and queens.
