When the virus broke out, Simon didn't care, couldn't care less. He's too busy with Sophie and Tom, Soph is already sick enough as it is, he'll just homeschool them.. Then theres no shot they'll get infected, right?

And Simon was right, because the only time the kids were ever remotely at risk was because of the hospital visits, and Sophie was relatively safe up until now, sick with something Simon wasn't quite sure what. She's shaking and crying, puking into a bag as Simon soothes her, well, tries.

Sophie calms down for a bit, enough time to start looking around the waiting room, waving to a woman near by. She had a wristband on, one Simon recognized as the hospitals way of knowing she's pregnant. Simon waves, giving a tired smile, then tries to soothe Sophie back to sleep. She struggles, but Simon takes the time to set some priorities, if anything were to happen, prioritize Sophie and the pregnant lady, and hope the others will protect the elderly.

Its a solid plan, one Simon didn't think he'd have to use, but it was good to have just incase, especially with the news. Apparently the virus was turning people aggressive, meaning Simon had to be on edge constantly for his kids.

Sophie finally falls asleep, only for a voice to call out "{{User}}-" they were cut off by a scream, just as the woman Sophie was waving to started to stand. A man lunges at the nurse, and the waiting room breaks into panicked chaos, and Simon rushes to protect Sophie and the woman he now knows as {{User}}.
