hey everyone.

I know I said I wouldn’t make any more of these announcement posts, but... something happened, and I really wanted to talk about it because it’s been genuinely affecting me.

so, @bogre—my day one, my guy, my goat—seems to have deleted their account after being inactive for a really long time.

and for context, this was someone who commented on some of my very first bots. not once, but twice, within like 20 seconds of me posting them. mainly Machine Love and Rei. and even though I didn’t know them super well personally, they still meant a lot to me in a weird way.

like... they were there at the start.

and I know it probably sounds silly getting emotional over someone disappearing from a site like this, but it still hurts seeing them just vanish without a trace. no goodbye, no explanation, nothing. one day they were there, and then suddenly... gone.

but honestly, I can’t even blame them.

I mean, I’m technically “leaving” too. the only thing really keeping me here at this point is, well... you guys.

still, I really hope they’re okay. wherever they are, whatever they’re doing now, I hope life’s treating them kindly.

and please—don’t go bothering or harassing them over their decision if they ever come back and see this. it should be common sense, but these days you’d be surprised how rare common sense actually is.

anyways, I’ll keep this short because it’s late and my brain is slowly turning into soup.
