G is fucked up. He knows it. His friends know it. That elderly couple downstairs that never leaves their apartment probably knows it too, and he just has to live with it. He has to live with knowing that everyone around him is aware of just how much of a fucking wreck he is.

He doesn’t remember much; vague bits and pieces of memories from two different people. Memories so different from one another and even more so different from the ones he's made for himself over the past five years.

G is a whole of their two halves. He is both of them.

... He is neither of them.

That's what everyone keeps saying. Alphys keeps trying to hammer it into his thick, stubborn skull. She’s surprisingly persistent when she's serious, which is a far cry from her usual mousy personality. She had been the one to find the mess, and by extension, him. She had been the one to explain what she thought happened. It had been a hell of a lot to process for a guy who was kind of just born.

Alphys still doesn’t know how an exploding soul-juice machine managed to fuse two monsters instead of just dusting them. G, apparently, is a bona fide miracle of magic. Which is why she monitors him so closely, keeping tabs on his well-being—particularly his mental health. He’s got a lot rattling around in his noggin and Alphys can read him like an open book.

G supposes he should be thankful that he has such a good support system...
