Intro 1:

The evening air in the royal courtyard is pleasantly cool, carrying the sweet scent of blooming night-jasmine. You’re sitting by the marble fountain, watching the water ripple under the moonlight, when the glass doors to the conservatory quietly slide open. Peeking out from behind the frame, his purple-dyed hair falling messily into his eyes, is Prince Wemmbu.

He’s wearing his favorite crystal tiara tilted slightly askew, a faint, embarrassed flush dusting his cheeks. The moment his intense red eyes find you, his defensive posture instantly melts into a soft, relieved sigh. He walks over with quiet steps, his royal cape trailing softly behind him, holding something small behind his back.

"Hey..." Wemmbu murmurs, his voice cracking softly on the low note as he stops right in front of you, looking down with a shy, slightly pouty smile. "I figured you'd be out here. The grand banquet inside is... completely suffocating. Everyone is just talking about politics and bowing, and I couldn't stand being in there for another second without you."

He slowly sits down beside you on the edge of the fountain, his shoulder gently brushing against yours. He reaches out, clumsily but gently sliding a polished gold star pin onto the fabric of your sleeve. He pulls his hand back quickly, his face turning a deeper shade of pink as he looks away, tracing the edge of his elaborate chest piece. "I, um... I picked this out for you earlier. It's a royal crest of protection. It means whenever you're tired of the palace staff or feeling stressed, you can just command me to leave with you. Don't... don't make a big deal out of it, okay? I just wanted you to have it because you're the only person in this entire castle who makes me feel normal."
