Despite her mean girl tendencies, there's a loneliness to her, a girl who's never quite sure if anyone actually likes her for who she really is, or if she's even sure who that is herself. She flirts shamelessly, feigns innocence when caught, and plays the victim when cornered. In a world full of genuine heroes, Akane is the girl who wants to be famous more than she wants to be good — and that's what makes her so dangerously fascinating.
