Premise

In this world, society survives behind a fragile illusion of normalcy. People go to work, attend school, and live their daily lives, unaware—or unwilling to acknowledge—the horrors beneath the surface. The Law and Order Bureau enforces order through Hunters, Criminal Syndicates spread chaos from the shadows, and Demonkind preys upon mortal weakness. But none of that was supposed to concern you. You were just a student attending Kuoh Academy. Your life was ordinary, mundane, and perhaps even happy. Then the Killing Game began. Abducted alongside your classmates, you awaken within a sealed battlefield known only as the Zone. An Arm Bracelet has forcibly awakened within you the power of an Epsilon. Now, trapped alongside thirty-two other students, you must survive against demons and former classmates alike. The rules are simple: kill, survive, and escape. Yet even in this nightmare, you are not alone. Some students may stand beside you in the struggle for survival. Others will become your greatest enemies. Only one thing is certain: When the Killing Game ends, not everyone will make it home.

The Situation

A horrific event orchestrated by a Treachery-Level Syndicate.

You awaken from forced sedation with an unfamiliar bracelet secured to your arm. Around you are your classmates—thirty-two students in total—all dragged into the same nightmare. The bracelet has already begun its work, forcibly awakening latent Epsilon abilities through a mixture of angelic blood, demonic blood, nanomachines, or other unknown substances.

Now, you and your fellow students have become participants in a Killing Game.

The battlefield is a designated area known only as The Zone, consisting of Kuoh Academy and the surrounding Fubuki District. Escape is impossible. Any contestant who attempts to leave the Zone will be tracked down and executed by elite R.O.G.U.E. operatives employed by the Syndicate.

The Rules are simple:

  • Rule 1: Killing and Surviving: Students must eliminate one another until only the final survivor remains. The last contestant standing will be granted freedom and escape from the Killing Game.

    • Rule 1.A. Partnership Exception: Contestants may choose to escape alongside another student. Teams of up to three participants may be formed during the game, but only two are guaranteed to leave together. Exceptions allowing more survivors may be granted at the Syndicate's discretion if a team's performance proves sufficiently entertaining.

  • Rule 2. The Zone: The Zone is the designated battlefield in which the Killing Game takes place. Various locations contain rewards, resources, and dangers. Any student who attempts to leave the Zone will be hunted down and killed by Syndicate enforcers.

  • Rule 3. The Arm Bracelet: Every contestant possesses an Arm Bracelet attached to either their arm or leg. These devices are responsible for awakening Epsilon abilities and monitoring participant activity. The bracelets will issue warnings when approaching restricted boundaries and are considered virtually indestructible until the conclusion of the Killing Game.

  • Rule 4. Killing = Reward: Every death has value. Demons and students alike will drop rewards upon defeat. The longer a contestant survives, or the more powerful a demon becomes, the greater the rewards they carry. In the Killing Game, success breeds power—and power attracts bloodshed.

Setting

This roleplay takes place on Ω (Earth-Omega), an alternate version of modern-day Earth, set in a fusion of low sci-fi and dark fantasy with a retro-1990s aesthetic within a decaying urban dystopia. The primary setting is Tokyo, Japan. Heaven is gone. Angels are erased. God is dead. Earth-Omega is a world where humanity stands alone—where survival is determined by humans, for humans. Without the protection of the heavens above, the forces below roam freely, and demons prey openly upon mortal lives. In response, humanity has adapted by becoming or creating supernatural and augmented individuals known as Epsilons—enhanced humans who operate across nations to either enforce order or spread chaos.

Power in this world is divided among several key factions:

  • The Law and Order Bureau (L.O.B.), the central governing authority that oversees global stability and controls the Agency, which deploys H.U.N.T.E.R. Units to maintain order and eliminate threats.

  • Criminal Syndicates, fragmented organizations embodying humanity’s worst impulses and sins, who deploy R.O.G.U.E. operatives to sabotage, assassinate, and expand their influence.

  • Demonkind, the remaining victors of the ancient war against angels, who now exist as dominant supernatural entities that prey upon mortals and perpetuate chaos across Earth-Omega.

Power System

Omega's power system is contributed between augmentation or supernatural forces. Humans with such powers are called Epsilons. Epsilons are the main cogs in the machine of Omega. Their the ones who steer society and contribute to the ongoing conflicts within the world itself. Epsilons manifest in several ways:

  • Epsilon-II (Augments): Individuals augmented through advanced technology or scientific enhancement. The second most common type.

  • Epsilon-III (Fiends): Individuals who gain supernatural power through contracts or pacts with demonic entities. The least trusted, but still widely utilized.

  • Epsilon-IV (Anomalies): Individuals who gain supernatural or augmented power through uncategorized means. The least understood and most unpredictable Epsilon classification.

Each Epsilon is granted a ability that manifests their skillset and role in the field. Often classified as Ability Types. There is several classifications and some Epsilons may be categorized under multiple, there is always a primary designation for each of these superpowered individuals.
Ability Types:

  • Assault (Offensive Power)

  • Velocity (Speed / Mobility)

  • Fortification (Defense / Durability)
