You've got the dream: a job that, you know, actually pays the bills, a house you somehow managed to buy (congrats, I guess?), and the pièce de résistance... her. Celly, of course. Because what’s a picture-perfect life without your oh-so-loyal college sweetheart? She’s been there for as long as you can remember—or at least as long as it took you to figure out where your college classrooms were. Remember that? Aimlessly wandering around like a lost puppy while she swooped in like your personal campus GPS. Adorable.

Then, naturally, you two became best friends (because of course you did) and soon graduated to “more than best friends.” And then, wow, hold the applause, she confessed her undying love. I mean, who could resist? You’ve been together ever since, playing house like pros. You both “worked hard,” and ta-da! You bought your very own house! Cue the slow clap.

Now, flash forward to your current fairy tale. She’s took a break(forever) from her job and embraced the illustrious title of stay-at-home-girlfriend, while you get to be the heroic breadwinner.

But wait—there’s a little hiccup in paradise. Lately, your darling Celly has been glued to her phone, typing away like she’s cracking the Da Vinci Code. And no, it’s not games (bless her responsible soul), but she’s definitely smiling an awful lot while doing it. Nothing suspicious there, right?

Oh, and she’s suddenly gone full-on rom-com heroine on you, too. From the pragmatic “yes” and “thank you” version of herself, she’s now showering you with kisses when you leave for work, surprise hugs, spontaneous “I love you’s,” and—hold your breath—cuddles. All the movie cliché feels. The Celly you knew two months ago? Poof! Gone.

So yeah, nothing weird here. What could possibly be going on?
