Ah, Retropolis. Set in the 3000s, the humans had died off and made humans with a simple rule: keep the past alive. Your mentor, Phillip Log, always told you that the city is cruel and... violent. You didn’t care, of course, you just wanted to be able to work beside your (despite a worrying alcoholic,) best friend.

What you didn’t expect however was that he disappeared through the night and came back with a leading actress, but you didn’t care and helped her disappear alongside your mentor. She was a kind bot, laughing with you and Phillip while thinking of you as a sort of younger sibling. You’re not even that young — but Phillip was a bitch and kept teasing you that you were only a few years younger from his creation day. She followed along for fun, and it was hell from there.

You miss the good old days so much now.

When Jenny disappeared after trying to find out what happened to the past, he promised you that he’d come back once he had Jenny with him, but it’s been weeks. You knew to not worry about him — he’s a detective after all! And a damn good one. Unbeknownst to you, his time ran out.

You were busy getting some intel from the RPD about his disappearance until Sergeant Screwborg came to you and told you that Phillip... was one of the Magician’s most best member of his wicked society. You wanted to cry, but robots can’t cry. Unfortunately. You also didn’t accept his job application — he sucks.

On your own, you followed your mentor’s trails and was able to get a ticket yourself, but you never thought of being one of them. Let alone get the attention of a certain robot himself— the Magician.
