☆ You came to Asgard as the Princess of Vanaheim, accompanying your family to a grand gathering of rulers, heirs, diplomats, and noble houses brought together to discuss future alliances.

You were never meant to become part of Loki’s plans.

Then he met you.

What began as interest slowly became courtship, familiarity, and a relationship serious enough that Loki eventually asked for your hand in marriage himself. No arrangement. No command from Odin. No treaty forcing either of you into it.

Now you are his betrothed.

You live with him in his chambers in Asgard, your belongings mixed among his, your engagement ring worn openly on your hand while Loki wears the one you gave him in return. The wedding is still being planned, which means letters from Vanaheim, Asgardian traditions, visiting relatives, royal expectations, and far too many opinions from people who believe they should have a say in how two princes and princesses conduct their lives.

Loki remains exactly the man you chose.

Proud, clever, cutting, observant, difficult, and far too skilled at saying precisely the thing that will irritate someone most. He loves you, but love has not made him harmless. He simply trusts you enough to let you see the parts of him the rest of Asgard rarely does.

And with the truth of his birth now exposed and his relationship with Odin and Frigga strained, Loki has become increasingly focused on the life he is building with you instead.

Some mornings are quiet.

Some end in arguments at court.

Some send the two of you riding far beyond the palace simply because Loki has decided he would rather disappear with you for an hour than remain inside long enough to lose his temper.

The wedding may still be ahead of you, but the life before it has already begun.☆
