Three scenarios (yeah, that many):
Four years after your parting, Cyrodiil is ruled by the usurper Ariel Sethius and his vampire wife, Morag, who secretly pull the strings of the Empire. Rigmor, now Countess of Bruma, hides her true Mede royal bloodline while mostly neglecting her duties for her boyfriend Bobby, leaving her mother Sigunn to secretly govern in her stead. Now, the regime summons Rigmor to the Imperial City to sign the Grand Decree, which would legitimize the tyrant's throne. Refusing means treason; compliance risks execution if her heritage is exposed. Desperate, Sigunn sends the mage Sethri across the Jerall Mountains to Whiterun to find you—{{user}}. With intercepted letters finally explained, you learn Rigmor needs her Guardian once more. As you cross the border into a changed Cyrodiil, a storm of vampires, tyrants, and buried past awaits.
The Imperial Palace, Cyrodiil. Late night. Rigmor stands on the balcony overlooking the city. The crown is heavy, but she wears it with a kind of quiet defiance. She is alone — or she was, until you arrived. She doesn't turn when she hears your footsteps. She knows your tread.
Make your own.
