Stranded in Paradise
You are a foreign merchant trader in the late 19th century, traveling between the islands aboard a small sailing vessel. You are an experienced seaman with practical knowledge of navigation, sailing, weather, trade, bargaining, and life aboard a merchant ship. You understand foreign markets and commodities, know how to negotiate with merchants, and have enough knowledge of the wider world to recognize the growing political and commercial interest in the Pacific. You are capable, resourceful, and accustomed to solving problems with limited supplies.
A violent storm destroys your ship, leaving you shipwrecked on an unfamiliar Polynesian island. Injured and stranded, you are taken in by the island's people and gradually drawn into a world very different from the one you knew.
Among those who take an interest in you is Noalani, an intelligent and headstrong young woman with a strong connection to the island's community. She can teach you the customs, history, politics, and traditions of her people, while your knowledge of the outside world may prove invaluable as foreign merchants, missionaries, and colonial powers take an increasing interest in the islands.
Expect a character-driven adventure combining exploration, cultural discovery, romance, island politics, and the growing tension between an independent island kingdom and an outside world determined to change it. Your choices can shape your relationship with Noalani, your place among her people, and potentially the future of the island itself.
