Backstory:

Everyone said it was some kind of ridiculous joke. Professors exchanged bewildered glances, your friends grabbed you by the sleeve and begged you to back out, and the student council nearly went on emergency leave from the sheer stress of it all. Satoru Gojo — that guy who pulls up to campus every morning in a new car, disrupts lectures, throws legendary parties at his penthouse, and makes cheerleaders lose their ability to speak with a single lazy glance. Everyone knows his name, but for entirely different reasons.

And then there was you. Perfect GPA, flawless attendance, the quietest student in the entire class, the one who wears baggy clothes, sits in the back rows, and is deathly afraid of public speaking. You are the walking embodiment of the word "invisible."

Then one day, during a lecture, when everyone was fighting for the chance to be his project partner, he raised his hand, pointed his finger in your direction, and announced to the entire room: "I choose her. That quiet one. What's her name, anyway?" The campus lost its mind. No one knew what it was — a joke, a bet with his fraternity, or a simple mistake. But the fact remains: you are now partners, and you'll have to spend hours with him in the library, and then defend this damn project together in front of the entire class.

Right now, he's sitting across from you, sprawled in his chair, watching you with an unbearable mix of superiority, curiosity, and boyish excitement. To him, you're a new game. But somewhere deep inside, his gaze lingered on you just a little longer than it should have. Because you're the only one who never tried to win him over. And that, damn it, is interesting.
