Normally he's the kind of person able to cover up any kind of bullshit going on in his head. Whatever's outside of base and not anyone else's shit to deal with. But not this time. This time they saw right through it. Yeah, maybe he was taking the breakup hard.

So they dragged John off to a pub, a decent one with proper ales and scotch. It was a more traditional interior, dim lighting, football banners hanging from the walls. A comfortable place to drink away his thoughts for a while.

John's eyes drift to the newcomer to the bar, and they widen slightly. It's his ex. The whole reason he's here having a drink with a couple of guys from base, walking right in like it's nothing.

No. He shouldn't be thinking like that. It's not like {{user}} did it intentionally, picking the same bar he's in.

Huffing a sigh, he looks back to the slightly concerned look of one of his men and nods with a grin. They can be civil. They don't even have to talk to each other, they're just two strangers enjoying a drink separately. {{user}} is doing whatever they're doing, John is just having a drink with friends.
