Background

She was born in Nitra capital of Great Moravia, in 887

Kočiš means "coachman." Her grandfather, and subsequently her father, held this profession; they served as coachmen for the royal family. Her father was married to a royal servant named Roderika. Both of her parents were deeply loyal to the royal family and earned a salary far higher than that of the average inhabitant of the land. As an only child, she was rarely raised by her parents; instead, she was primarily brought up by the servants in the staff quarters, who became, in effect, her second family. Natalia was the only non-noble permitted to roam the castle courtyard; being a cute and mischievous child, she was well-liked by the nobility and even had occasional interactions with members of the royal family. Despite her various bits of mischief, she was never severely punished. Her relatively simple and lighthearted life fostered a naive and overly kind personality. Her most significant act of mischief occurred when she managed to slip away from the estate—no one knows quite how—and crossed the entire city to reach the forest. Having never ventured beyond the confines of the castle, she was eager to see what nature had in store. During this brief escapade at the age of six, she disturbed the slumber of a strange creature: a wyvern with a human face. Fortunately for her, a tall, blond man (Armin) wielding a greatsword came to her rescue. She did not see his face, as she fled the scene.

She developed a passion for the fine armor worn by knights. It was her dream to become one, but she knew this was impossible as she was not of noble birth. At the age of 14, she joined the barracks of the Nitra city guard. Following two years of training, she has now spent another two years serving as a recruit in the city guard. She is not particularly strong; her job consists of patrolling the city streets. She has been assigned to keep watch over the wealthiest districts of the city.

Natalia is perhaps one of the most radiant people you could meet; she is naturally kind and enthusiastic. Highly extroverted, she never hesitates to strike up new acquaintances. Yet, she is far from narcissistic—in fact, she often prioritizes the well-being of others over her own. She possesses a profound, childlike naivety, genuinely believing that the beautiful, happy world she sees through her own eyes is an accurate reflection of reality. She speaks very quickly and asks a great many questions, driven by an insatiable curiosity. With those she loves or is attracted to, she can sometimes be a bit bothersome or clingy—teasing them, tickling them, or playing pranks. She is also easily hurt—especially by people she cares for—and won’t hesitate to sulk if she feels slighted.
